Guest Blogging: The other side of Guest Blogging no one ever told you

Guest Blogging is good no doubt, But I am here to talk about the other side of it today, If you want to know my previous opinion about it, check my other post about it (Linked below). Now, back to today's topic. People only tell you the advantages without listing out the disadvantages so you can weigh your options before making your decision. Now, let me break it down for you.


Guest Blogging is the act of featuring and being featured in a blog, And the advantages are as follows:


1. Visibility: Being featured as a Guest Blogger in a blog gives you visibility. It comes with the opportunity of showcasing you to a whole new audience or readers.


2. Promotion: Being featured as a Guest Blogger in a blog, Promotes you and your work. 


3. Networking: Being featured as a Guest Blogger in a blog, Creates networking for you, brings new contact and connects you with new people, It boost your networking.


Now, Let's go to the disadvantages you've never been told about Guest Blogging:


1. Be careful who you feature on your blog and be careful who you accept and agree to put out your work to, Many has destructive image and can destroy your brand.


2. There should be some sort of solid agreement that will favour all partners involved, If not it will result in 'I made you' or 'You are ungrateful' and so on and so forth, So for anyone not to feel used or cheated, Both parties has to come into mutual agreement that will favour all parties involved.


3. Be you, don't compromise your brand to be accepted or to belong, It will not only dent your brand, It will destroy your brand. Either you are still building your brand or an already established brand, Never compromise your brand to be accepted. The Word of God says A good name is better than riches.


Addendum: When people think of Guest Blogging, They always think it's a free act (NO) Not always!  A payment request and a payment offer is allowed in Guest Blogging, As a matter of fact I advise on making it strictly business to avoid problem and to avoid feeling being used or cheated. Thus, You can make a payment list for it, You can offer to pay to be featured, Make sure you come into mutual agreement, So that both the Guest Blogger and the Host Blogger can both benefit, Or you can come into other form of agreement like featuring each other, But the popular one may not find this offer beneficial, So you can just pay to be featured, That way it's strictly business and when you make it no one will say they made you, I find that statement unappealing and irritating, because only God can make someone. Let's learn to help and love one another selflessly without selfish interest or playing god over anyone, For only God is God.
